NukesRus?

Somebody, please explain to me: Why is it not only okay but wonderful for the U.S. to have thousands and thousands and thousands of nuclear weapons, and absolutely the end of the world for Iran to have one? What rule says that some nations may have nuclear weapons and others may not? Is it because "we" are "good" and "they" are "bad"? Which is the only nation to have used a nuclear weapon against another nation? Which nation makes "conventional" weapons out of depleted uranium? Of the "axis of evil" nations, which ones have nuclear weapons and which do not? Which has the U.S. attacked? (hint: the one with no nukes). Would it seem rational, maybe, for a nation to acquire nuclear weapons as insurance against being attacked by the U.S.?
Inquiring minds want to know.
